An Official Server for South Africa

Here's a message from Zaire asking whether Blizzard will ever bring World of Warcraft into South Africa. It's true. While we assume that the game is available in North America and Europe (and several other regions of the world), it's not. It seems that there's an industry in a region like South Africa -- Blizzard states that they have between five to seven thousand players down there (we'd assume that they're playing on EU or US servers) which probably doesn't count any players who play who play on private servers which could be as many as 20,000.

iGame is part of an ISP known as iBurst in the area and they claim to be ready to launch an official server (within 24 hours!) If Blizzard agrees, they'll. However, Blizzard has informed them that they need at minimum 40000 players to operate an official server.

Another alternative is the "peering" server. This connects to Blizzard's servers, but uses local connections and network to speed things up. But , again, Blizzard needs to assent to this and it seems that they're hesitant at the moment.

Oceanic realms have been experiencing problems for a while, but at least they have a portion of servers dedicated to these realms. Is there another important place in the world without WoW support? South America? India?
